The watch comes with the outer sleeve (with matching serial), Rolex cardboard box, Rolex green box, red seal hang tag, serial number hang tag, all booklets, calendar, Rolex microfibre cloth, RSC service card dated 2014, original purchase invoice dated 2008, Rolex leather card holder and the original Rolex guarantee certificate named and dated 2008.

Model Description

The Rolex Explorer II (reference 16570) blends utilitarian design with understated luxury, making it an underappreciated gem in the Rolex sports watch lineup. 

Its origins, rooted in the 1971 model designed for spelunkers, emphasize durability and function. It features a 24-hour bezel for day-night tracking. Though it lacks the flash of other models, its robust steel construction, practical GMT complication, and choice between black or the Polar dial offer versatility. This pristine example has a beautiful black dial with applied white gold indices.

The Rolex 3185 is an automatic movement introduced in 1989. It was featured in both the Explorer II 16570 and GMT-Master II models until 2005. It includes a GMT complication with an independently adjustable 24-hour hand and quickset date. Known for its robust build, it features a full balance bridge, a Glucydur balance wheel, and a Nivarox hairspring with a Breguet overcoil. Despite its unwavering reliability, the characteristic wobble in the 24-hour hand introduces an intriguing contrast to Rolex's pursuit of perfection.
